All the rainbow trout fry that hatched and grew in the Incubator Building in 2024 have been released into the Kings River. On April 18th, with the help of Kings River Conservation District and Kings River Water Association staff and 7 public volunteers, trout fry was released in various spots on the Kings River between Pine Flat Dam and Highway 180. An estimated 79,380 trout fry joined the fisheries in the lower Kings River. The Kings River Fisheries Management Program is grateful to all who came out for the release and for the 6 additional public volunteers that assisted staff with daily care of the trout fry these past few weeks.
